Addressing the Contractor Knowledge Gap
WOODWORKS FEATURE

Limited general contractor familiarity remains a primary constraint on mass timber growth. In 2025, WoodWorks expanded its Construction Management Program to directly increase contractor capacity
and jobsite readiness:

  • 1,040 students trained (+50% YoY)

  • 12,360 training hours delivered
    (+37% YoY)

  • 62 training centers (+22% YoY)

  • 46,160 training hours delivered since inception

WoodWorks strengthened both union and non-union pathways, formalized partnerships with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and the Steel Erectors Association of America, and expanded installer readiness nationwide.

By bridging design intent with construction execution, WoodWorks reduces delivery risk—an essential condition for scaling lumber-based structural systems.

MARKET IMPACT

  • Increases contractor readiness and confidence.

  • Reduces perceived execution risk for design and development teams.

  • Builds workforce capacity to deliver lumber-based construction at scale.
